Take Action

Survey data shows that most new law faculty got their information about the hiring process directly from their own professors. Help us bring transparency to the academic job market. Here are a few easy ways to spread the word about Becoming a Law Teacher:

  1. Send a link to teach.aals.org directly to someone you believe would make a good law teacher or whom you know is looking to join the legal academy. See below for a suggested template message.
  2. Distribute the link to teach.aals.org to your colleagues and listservs. See below for a suggested template message.
  3. Spread the advice and information Professor Jessica Erickson (Richmond Law) is presenting in her series of interviews with VAP and fellowship directors.
  4. Give a brief introduction to Becoming a Law Teacher at your conferences, workshops, symposia, or other upcoming events.
  5. Let prospective law teachers know to save the date (August 23, 2019) for our upcoming webinar on screening interviews.
